August Art Bar: Pencils & Paper

August 24, 2026 What fun the Gallery Nights in Kerrytown have been this summer! PENCILS & PAPER is the theme of Found's Art Bar this Thursday, August 27 from 5-8pm. Come doodle and draw to get a taste of some of terrific colored pencils available for purchase at the shop. During the Ann Arbor Gallery Night event in August, you're invited to experiment with select papers and sketchbooks as you sample a selection of colored pencils. Try out the Blackwing colors on a smooth Bienfang sketchbook, doodle with Karst pigmented graphite on paper made of stone, wet some watercolor paper and discover the hidden ability to draw with watercolor pencils from Peter Pauper.
Disclaimer: Found's Art Bar is NOT a workshop or class, rather an opportunity to sample some products we carry at the shop. There is no instructor, but there is often a sense of discovery and sharing. All skill levels are welcome for this drop in.

Ann Arbor Gallery Nights in Kerrytown is a collaboration of local galleries and shops to highlight this creative neighborhood. Join this free gallery walk on the last Thursday of each month, May through September, 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
Participating galleries host a rotating roster of artist talks, demonstrations, artist pop-ups and special appearances, welcoming the public to celebrate Ann Arbor's vibrant art scene!
