Graduation gifts from procrastinator...

This is a time of transition from high school to...whatever comes next!  Time to dream, imagine and celebrate.  Many families gather friends and relatives to celebrate this occassion with a party.  We sorta missed the boat on getting this posted last month, but if  you're also a bit behind and still looking for  a little something different to give someone going off to the next stage, we have some ideas: Start with a vintage old school flashcard to make a gift tag or card.  "Dream" is shown above. Pick out a vase and fill with new pens, ruler and other supplies that a college student will need.  We have some comtempory styles with fun graphics. Some of the bags from Burlap Boutique are big enough to hold a laptop!  Others are just the right size for a cell phone, id and keys. Locally made from recycled coffee bags. Or give an id/key holder wallet to a graduate.  I'm sure they wouldn't mind if you tucked a dollar or two (or 20) in it! How about a photo frame?  Fill with a memory. These Ann Arbor & the Rest of the World posters, created by local designer Katherine Larson, are based on the iconic New Yorker cover.  They are very popular as dorm room art! Ann Arbor magnets are also popular this time of year.
