A linoleum printmaker draws original sketches onto linoleum blocks, carves the illustrations in relief with woodcarving tools, rolls ink onto the cut lino, and prints the blocks onto paper or cloth... all by hand. Made in Michigan by printmaker Betsy Stecker.
This high-quality reproduction is printed on recycled, heavyweight 100-lb cardstock with natural fibers pressed throughout the paper. Entirely made by Michigan small businesses: the printmaker, hydro-powered paper manufacturer, and mom-and-pop printer are all from the mitten state.
Betsy is inspired by the woods, waters and wildlife of the Midwest.
