In 2005, U of M Alumni, siblings and lifelong Detroiters, Andy and Emily Linn founded their design & print company City Bird, as a way to merge their love of design with their admiration for their city and region. Four years later, they opened their eponymous flagship retail store in Detroit, where they showcase art, design, and handmade goods by more than 200 artists from throughout the Great Lakes region, as well as their popular house line of locally-themed products, produced in their Detroit-based studio. City Bird is the oldest store in Detroit’s popular Midtown Cass and Canfield shopping district. In 2011, they expanded their brick-and-mortar retail offerings by opening Nest, a complementary home goods and gift shop next door to City Bird.
Producing and selling an assortment of Michigan and Detroit spirit wear that ranges from t-shirts to shot glasses, City Bird shares the pride they have for their home with their audience and patrons and Found happily shares that pride by carrying several of their prints.
Featured at Found are City Bird Michigan Map prints, cards and magnets - favorites of native Michiganders and travelers looking for souvenirs!
